Huckabee And Chuck Norris Analyze HC Bill: Is This Serious?
I mean, is the Mike Huckabee Show some kind of satire comedy? It sure feels that way. Consider: the analyst is Chuck Norris, whose chest hair was grabbed by Bruce Lee in Return of the Dragon. He was dissing the health care bill when he dropped the following gem: “I had by lawyer read the bill to me, because it’s like [searches for a metaphor for something confusing]…a legal form.” NO SHIT, CHUCK? A Congressional bill is like a legal form? WHAT INSIGHT.
Then they veered into how the bill allows the “government” to come into your house and make sure that you are raising your kids in a way that the government approves. While current laws do require you to do certain stuff for your kids, and to not do stuff to them, this bill doesn’t get into all that. Huckabee then regales us with a story of the home-schooled kid in his town, and how this kid was the only one to get a perfect 3200 on his SATs. He was talking about the siamese twins who scored a perfect 1600, because 1600 IS A PERFECT SAT. I guarantee you that Huck’s example is straight-up made up.
Seriously, though, get your analysis from Chuck Norris. You’ll be richer for it.
